The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it truly is alarmed with regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration sassa status check Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional SRD office devoted to service the area each day. The company point established for intervention experiences a superior influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tricky for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
